If I were to get a compressor and eq, what else would i need for a rack. would i need things like a conditioner?

Feb 16, 2008 08:54 am Yeah the rack is just the unit. What kind of things can you put in it? Well there are all kinds. Mine is a preamp, EW, Compressor, Sampler, Reverb Unit, and ADAT for example.

...almost got a rack mounted computer monitor... folded to 1U... but I ran out of money at the auction...went for $30 :P
Feb 16, 2008 08:42 pm getting a fan for your rack wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if your studio is in a spare bedroom and everything is really tight together. that room is probably going to be noticeably hotter because of all those electronic devices.
(i'm going to build a rack with my girlfriend's dad soon who is amazingly handy. i want to use some nice pieces of wood with a nice grain. we may build some monitor stands while we're at it!)
