No MIDI input recognized

Hello. I recently purchased Behringer 222fx mixer and it came with UCA200 USB interface. I understand the interface is not so popular among people.
Well... I am using Mac's garageband. When I connect everythinig together, my mixer can receive MIDI output from the computer through the interface. But it keeps telling me no MIDI input can be recognized. I am pretty sure everything is hooked up properly. The line is going out from CD/Tape output to interface's input then to the computer.
Is there some kind of magic button that I forgot to press? Thank you!

That mixer doesn't handle MIDI data.

Neither does the UCA200.

So I don't know how the mixer can receive midi output from the computer through the interface.

Something's not right.

MIDI devices like the M-Audio Midisport:

handle midi -> USB -> Computer.

Thanks for your reply. I figured out now. You are right. It is not supposed to be MIDI input.
Thanks.
