I recently purchased a Behringer Xenyx 1222fx mixer, and I am having a hard time recording with it. I think mostly due to the fact that it may not be connected to my computer correstly. It has the usb interface, plug and play connectivity but still gives me a hard time. If anyone has any info on how to help please let me know. THank You

Heya Rusty, welcome to the HRC.

I do not own a similar product but have seen conversations regarding them.

The USB connection is technically all that should need to happen to record audio.

On that note, please fill us in on what problems you are having as it may be something seen before by the other users. Also, if you goto your profile and fill out your gear list (what you use to record) it can really help speed along an answer in many cases.

Glad you stopped by, you just found the most helpfull recording site on the internet :)

Hey there Rusty, give us a detailed connection scheme of what's connecting to what.

Be specific.

The delay is most likely latency. There is always latency with recording gear but it can be adjusted in the buffer settings. I will let one of the Behnringer mixer owners chime in though. The bass sound I am quite unsure of.

the RCA cable is running from my mixer into the U-Control, UCA200, and from that the usb is running into my computer

Ummm, the Xenyx mixers from Behringer are already USB-enabled mixers...why the UCA200 in your chain then?

You should be able to just hook up headphones to the headphone output of your Xenyx and monitor from there.

USB/Audio Interface included to connect directly to your computer.

That's not very specific. What is the RCA plugs connecting to? What are you listening to? what is your monitoring solution plugged into? I'd rather not assume, if you can give details.

Rusty,
I recently purchased Xenyx2222FX which came with UCA200.
I cannot get the computer (Mac) to recognize my keyboard input either.
I am using Garageband and Audacity.

This is what I heard from Behringer Online Support so far.

1) CD/TAPE output to interface input; vice versa
2) Control Rm OUT to Monitors
3) Main OUT to speakers, amplifiers
4) SOURCE panel's CD/TAPE to PHONES/CONTROL ROOM
5) All Solos up
6) Main voume up to 0
7) Channel volume up to 0
8) Solo PFL mode in PFL mode

But after all this, my computer still cannot recognize my keyboard.
I have made correct changes in my computer preference (input/ouput USB) and also in my softwares.

Still doesn't work...
I need help too...

Rusty,

Mine is working now~~
Try 1-8 I have written above.
and add these:

9) Press the Main button
10) Press Line In button
11) Turn up TRIM of the channel
12) Turn up AUX MON of the channel

And when you want to listen to the recorded track, press CD/TAPE to MAIN.
You can control the playback volume using Control Rm knob.

Hope this helps.
