This one doesn't have any vocals either, programed drums just like the last one. I think I'm getting better at this garageband thing though. I like the overall sound of this one better than the last one I did.
This song really reminds me of Kerplunk era Green Day.
Thoughts?

Jan 27, 2008 10:00 pm Sweet, Sounds cool from here. The guitars sit nice with the drums and the bass is just right. I couldn't listen real loud as Tuna was crashed out for the night already, but I'll give it another go tomorrow a bit louder. I like it though for sure. Can't wait to hear it with vocals, it should be good.
And ya, there is a touch of Greenday in there.

Jan 27, 2008 11:58 pm Nice sound so far, I'll catch it again when you have the vocals. :)

Jan 28, 2008 04:09 pm Don't hold your breath for the vocals guys... I've hit a complete writer's block for lyrics lately. I can write music all day (and I have been!) but I can't come up with squat for lyrics as of late.

Jan 28, 2008 05:54 pm I have an idea for your lyrics.
Call the song "Punk Rock Writers Block" and sing about a lack of lyrical ideas :)
I am writing one right now, it goes on about how I wish I could tell you a story of epic proportions but since I sit on my butt all day I can't. It's pretty easy as I can just make up totally off the wall stuff and then say I never did it :)
On your recording, it sounds pretty good, my work speakers don't let me comment anymore than that though, I'll try to listen better later.

Jan 28, 2008 06:56 pm Ya, had a better listen now. I really like the way you have the guitars set in the mix. Its really got a wide sound to it. The bass sits just about right from what I can hear so far.
I'll have Tuna listen a few times. Maybe he can come up with something you can use. Its worth a shot I guess.
Jan 28, 2008 09:49 pm Yeah, I'm REALLY happy with the guitars. There's 6 of 'em in there, all doing the EXACT same thing, each one panned and EQ'd differently. It worked out nicely I think.
And I'm definitely open to any lyrical ideas anyone might have.
