Does anyone have previous experience using online mastering services? If so could you recommend one....P.S not trying to pay an arm and a leg either

spend $99 on Har-Bal, spend some time and do it yourself.
Jan 21, 2008 04:31 pm Are you saying this from previous experience or are you just a diy kinda person? Id Prefer to master it myself but i dont have top of the line monitors.
Feb 06, 2008 04:39 am I have been working with Supreme Mastering and was more than happy with the result. They really added some depth and punch to my mixes.
Check them out at www.suprememastering.com
The prices are quite good as well, they offer 50% off the original rate for independent artists!

Feb 06, 2008 11:14 am For worthy online mastering you are going to pay an arm and two legs. Disc Makers would have charged us $600 for our five song demo we had them press. I would have loved for them to master it if we could afford it, but at that price we would have to be rolling in some serious cash.
I mastered in HarBal.
There are some decent priced mastering services, and some will even do a preview so you may hear what it will sound like (checking supreme mastering they indeed offer a demo). Looking pretty standard to pay $100 a song minimum.

Feb 06, 2008 02:23 pm Check your local craigslist and search on mastering. Depending on the experience/quality required by your project, you could probably find someone for ~$30 a song.
If not finding anything on your local craigslist, try L.A. or S.F. craigslist, I'm sure you'll find something. But definitely check out samples first!!!
Jun 18, 2008 06:13 am We used cavestudio-online for our album and it was great. The whole album only cost $200 and they were really helpful.
I cant remember how much a single track was but I think it was pretty reasonable.
The website is www.cavestudio-online.com
Good Luck with it!
