Sony Acid Pro 6 Issue

Hey everyone. I just recently had a new PC built for my audio recording. I am currently having a small annoying issue.

I am using Line 6 Gearbox plugins for my guitar tracks. They are VST plugins, and when I appply one to a guitar track and do all the ajustments, everything is fine.

I'll goto Sony Acid's "File/Save" and then when I re-open the project, the Line 6 Gearbox VST settings I put on the track won't save and I have to put them back on the tracks and re-do the settings.

I don't seem to have this issue with other VST plugins from Sony of Waves. Any ideas?

When you do a file save does it have a check box that says something along the line of save all FX or anything like that. I know some software does have to be told to save the file with the FX on.

Also, do you have the Line 6 VST effects .dll files in the same folder along with the Sony VST's? That could make a difference as well.

I don't seem to see anything like that in the options.

The only thing I am having a hard time understanding is, I have the exact same setup with these plugins and Sony Acid 6 installed on 3 other machines. I did default setup options on all of them, and this new PC is the only one I have the issue on. This includes the way I installed the Line 6 plugins and location of the .DLLs. They installed in thier defualt locations. New PC is the only one with this issue.

Another small issue that is somewhat annoying is when I open up a project. This issue happens on all of my machines without fail.

I use Toon Track's EZ Drummer for certain projects' drum tracks, and every time I open a saved project, it will say an error saying that there was a problem loading EZ Drummer. All of the midi hits that EZ drummer made on the piano roll are there, but its Sony's regular midi piano roll sounds. I'll have to go to the DLS Synth buffer and manual switch to Tune Track's EZ Drummer. It only takes a few seconds to do, but it is still rather annoying...

Ah, New PC!

Don't tell me, let me guess.

It is running Windoze Vista????

That is more then likely the problem right there.

As far as the EZ drummer thing goes. Is EZ drummer a VSTi or a ReWire instrument?

Actualy no, I am not running Vista. I know better. I am using XP pro with SP II. Like I have said, I have the same setup installed on 3 other machines, including a working setup on a laptop.

As far as EZ drummer goes, I am not actualy sure. All I know is, they lable it a plug-in.

Sounds like a bug with EZ drummer. I would check and see if there is an update for it. That or submit a bug report to tech support and TuneTrack.

I'm still baffled on the Line 6 thing though. I am wondering if they didn't get registered some how along the way, or if the reg was corrupted. Have you tried a complete removal and re-install yet? That might be worth a shot.

With EZ drummer, I wouldn't be suprised if it was a bug in it. Wouldn't be the only bug it has. Like I said, it is nothing major that only takes a second or two to fix, but its annoying!

As far as Line 6 goes, no I didn't do an un-install yet. That was going to be my next move if there was no other known suggestion to fix it. I'll give that a whirl and see. Thanks a lot for the replies!
