Ho boy. Think I did it again, got myself into something over mine head! Used Pinnacle sys video software to make a video of a trip to visit my kids. Great sound Track! Not so hot video. Mixed it to an MPEG-1 file and burnt it with coaster creater to a video cd. Max resolution was 320 x 250. On a 27" TV through a VCR VCD player that's pretty grainy. Ok fine found an option to use MPEG-2 in Pinnacle sys. Now EZ CD creater saz "You can't doo dat foo!" What am I missing? Is MPEG-2 for DVD only or something like that? Me be lost.

cool, another nero user...is there a seting in there for audio to crossfade the tracks - eg. so one starts b4 the last has finished?

i can get it down to 0 seconds of split but no nearer to what i want...

i don't think you can do such a cossfade with typical burn software like nero. the only thing i have that can do that is WaveLab, but I'm sure any major mastering app can do it.

if wavelab lite has the "audio montage" you'll do it there. it's like a little multitracker cut 'n paste board where you'll arrange things and insert the track markers to be burned.

I'll look at nero! What the heck! Ya I do my crossfades for the movies in a backassed way too. I do the crossfades in cubase after watching the video and deciding where on the time line I want the fades. Then I import the whole wave file last. A little hokey but it works!

Walt, you might concider some kind of conversion utility too. I'm sure tucows or download.com must have some freebie video converters. if you find some awesome universal coverter be sure to post back here and let me in on it. I've got avi's, qt's and mov's that need switched over to MPEG for some VCD fun.

Will do my friend! May take a while. I am at the bottom of the learning curve again! I have found some liturature that indicates that mpg2 is for DVD rendering or authoring. (All new terms to graple with too) and at present I am limited to a cd burner. I will keep doodling around and share whatever I find!
