I am going to be working on a project similar to The Postal Service and The Secret Handshake. I bought this synth and love it, however, I was wondering if there is an inexpensive way to record it. Would a USB MIDI Interface work? Or is there something else out there?

Dec 18, 2007 12:58 pm I use the headphone jack on my keyboard into my soundcard. The levels seem to be just right.

Dec 18, 2007 02:52 pm Although this can be done, be warned, headphone outputs can send out more power than a line input wants to see. Meaning, you could fry a weak input circuit.
If you're set on using headphone outputs to record from, don't turn the headphone knob up very much.
What are you recording with? what interface? what type of device? do you have microphone capabilities? are you using a PC? Tape device? Standalone DAW?

And if you are going to record the Micron you will need to record the audio outputs of the micron, not the midi outs as the midi out only sends data, not audio.
