Don't know how many of you watched it or will watch it. But most of you know I am not a TV type person. But I got sucked in for sure. I gotta say it was a cool show. I'm a huge sucker for a good choir, especially gospel.
The celeb's who made choirs that are competing for a charity in their home town are Nick Lachey for Cincinatti, Kelly Rowland for Houston, Michael Bolton for New Haven CT, Blake Shelton for Oklahoma City and the best for last, Patti LaBelle for Philly. I knew Lachey would bring a killer choir and he did. But Kelly Rowland formerly of Destiny's Child also brought a killer choir. The surprise was country bumpkin Blake Shelton who in the early clips looked as though his choir would be kind of lame was actually damn good. Michael Bolton did OK and his choir did Bon Jovi's Livin on the Edge which was kind of lame for the most part.
But again, the best for last. Friggin Patti LaBelle brought out an absolute killer choir and did He's got the Whole World in his Hand. The place went nuts as was what I think was expected.
The cool thing is these choirs are put together of just plain ordinary people for the most part.
I hate to say it, but I enjoyed watching TV for a moment there.
