Hey,
Im new to these forums, managed to just stumble across them accidently thanks to Google.
Anyway, i just wondered if any of you guys might have any suggestions for me. I started playing about with field recordings a few years ago, using MiniDisks, then played about with a shoebox cassette recorder and i got a M-Audio Microtrack which i ended up accidently destorying when some orange juice leaked in my bag and the Microtrack was there to soak it up.

I use my recordings for alot of different things including music and sometimes art pieces. I began to create an archive of conversations between different people which i would like to continue with, so i think i need an all round decent recorder.

I was really quite happy with my Microtrack and have seen that the MicrotrackII has come out but i wondered if any of you guys might have any other suggestions. I think realisticly i dont want to be spending more then £225 (GBP)

I want something that has a fairly good battery life, good sound and I do quite like the idea of having a in built mic but as on my old microtack, its not a neccesity... Im just really open to any suggestions anyone might have.
Thanks alot and Hello!

Jamie

Zoom H2 is well liked in another forum I frequent.

I'll second the Zoom H2 as well. IT is I believe in your price range and a very good unit.
