I wasnt sure which forum fit on the best but....I was wondering what I could get to transfer some old cassette tape recordings I have on to a cd or my computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Audacity is a good audio program for that purpose an it's a free download. Plug your cassette machine into your computer sound card's inputs and away you go.

yeppers, a simple RCA to 1/8" stereo adapter is all ya need....i've found trying to get rid of the hiss to be futile. from eq to noize reduction, they all affect the highs a bit too much imho.

Magix makes a nice suite for just that. It's very inexpensive too.

It also works (to a degree) for some mastering.
