I was just curious if it's possible to add a pickguard to a PRS SE Singlecut. I really don't NEED one but it would look cool.

Dec 01, 2007 02:56 pm Those are arch-topped, correct? You'd need to attach it via mounting brackets, much like a Les Paul pickguard, but I don't see why an able-minded guitar technician with high self-awareness couldn't pull it off.
That said, I'd never try it myself!

Dec 01, 2007 03:10 pm They have a slight arch-top but not as much as a Les Paul.
Yer probably right but I was just curious. Thanks.

Dec 01, 2007 06:52 pm Jim, you said high self awareness.
But ya, it is not as high as a regular LP. I have only seen a couple models with them on it. Didn't really care for the look of it myself.

Dec 02, 2007 03:51 pm Do you know where I can find a picture of one with the pickguard on it? I tried Google-Imaging it but none with pickguards came up.

Dec 02, 2007 08:26 pm I've not found one online either. Not sure were to look either if nothing came up on Google.
I did however find a place that does have some pick guards for PRS guitars though.

Dec 03, 2007 10:23 am I'd suggest contacting PRS. Worth a try. They might have some ideas.

Dec 03, 2007 05:00 pm I might look into it more but...probably not. I don't want to go to that much trouble just to have a pickguard on it when it looks almost as good without one.
But thanks for the support.
