Roland TD-12 + MIDI + Nuendo

Hey HRC -

I'm interested in recording my V-Drums using MIDI in Nuendo. I am considering purchasing BFD to use for drum samples. The problem is, I have no clue how to configure my drum module or my software to record/manipulate MIDI. Where are some good places to learn about MIDI? I've looked in my V-Drum manual but it isn't clear to me how its all supposed to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using a trigger set or just wanting to export the patterns out of the TD12?

Either way the simple way is just hook the midi out of the TD12 into a midi input port on your PC and then send that to a midi track and record either the trigger notes coming out or the pattern being sent as it plays back.
