Hi
I just bought one of these to use on my laptop.
Laptop runs Vista but I got the new Vista drivers from the Tascam.
I played with it by singing into it using the Cubase LE that comes with it.
I play it back and its crackling.
How can I put this right?
Many thanks
Al

Nov 03, 2007 04:03 am there should be a "latency" or "buffer" (or both) setting within both the Tascam's driver, and in Cubase....make sure they are both the same number, and you'll have to play with them to find the sweet spot....and it's different per project. if you're tracking alot of tracks, ya wanna keep it as low as possible...but if you're mixing 40+ tracks with plugins and automation, ya gotta increase them a bit.

Nov 03, 2007 09:57 pm You will find the US122L is kind of a problematic unit at times. If things are not set up just perfect it is a bugger to get to run stable.
As WYD related it is a drier issue and the fact the unit does not play nice with some systems. But as stated if you adjust your buffer/latency settings you should be able to get it to quiet down a bit and work some what proper.

Use less fabric softener and set the dial to permanent press.
