Question about Emu 0404 & surround output

Hello
I'm planning to buy this sound card for recording purposes mainly but there's this one issue I'm worried about:

I'm using Logitech X 530 5.1 set as speakers, and it has three plugs to connect to the PC (orange, green & black). It seems that the 0404 has only stereo output, with two 1/4" 'holes'. Is there any way to make it work as 5.1 with proper adapter(s), or will it only result as 2.1?

If so, I don't mind taking the rear speakers down, but how am I supposed to plug these things to the 0404? Is it the green plug only? (I think the orange one is for subwoofer)
Anyway, thanks already if you can offer me some hints&tips!

Welcome to HRC.

What you have are the consumer computer surround plugs, three plugs, two signals in each. One is front R/L, one is rear R/L and one is center and sub...you will not get the 0404 with those analog outputs. Those are, I assume only right and left.

It appears to me the 0404 uses optical for it's surround sound, so, if you don't have optical inputs on your speakers, it won't work.
