We recorded with an Akai DPS 16 multi-tracker. We mixed down to DAT and then transfered to CDR. The sound is OK but it's not radio ready. We need that punchy, sweet, powerful, "produced" sound. Is it possible to get that sound with the help of a PC? What programs? We're purchasing an Echo Mia Card and Cooledit Pro 2.0. Are we on the right track? Thanks

Feb 07, 2011 07:14 am Hi there, the issue you are going to have is not computer platform.
The probable issue will be accurate monitoring. if you cannot hear the problems (if there are any) what are you going to do?
If you want a slap a limiter on do so but this is far from mastering.
Good luck, hope you get a result.

Feb 07, 2011 03:36 pm Sometimes the best way to advertise your mastering service isn't to advertise what you do but to notice something in the "details" like this...noticing details IS mastering expertise, hah!
@ Quickxkid: I still have those tracks I meant to send you last weekend. I'll try to get it done tonight...
