Zoom mrs 1266 cd/expression pedal use?HELP

I have a Zoom mrs 1266 cd
I recently purchased the FP 02 expression pedal for it.
So far the only thing I can do with it is change the volume on whatever track I'm recording.
Does anybody know how to use the expression pedal for changing effect parameters?
I've read the manual the only thing it has on this is that with the fp-02 you can change effect parameters. Help!
