Aug 14, 2007 10:37 am I don't see anything listed about midi on the mbox2mini. You'd have to get something else to input the midi data.
Will the keyboard support MIDI over USB? some do that, i've read.

Aug 14, 2007 01:12 pm I don't know anything about the MBox 2 Mini other what I read on the Digi website. It doesn't look like there is a MIDI input on it.
I use a M-Audio Midi Uno Sport and it just connects to my PC via USB. That might be a solution for you.

Dec 19, 2008 08:12 pm Hi, my english isn't very good, so sorry for my mistakes.
I recently bought the MIDI-USB cable and it seems to work fine, because the MIDI track on Protools received the signal, but probably there's something wrong on the configuration, I've made all the connections and I've done all that appears on protools method one instructional DVD, but when i play on my controller it simply doesn't sound.
It would be grat if you can help me!
THANKS

Dec 19, 2008 10:10 pm Do you have a software synth set up for it to play? And a midi track set up and directed at the software synth?

Dec 20, 2008 06:28 pm thanks for your help!
I'm trying to use it with BFD, and yes, I've opened the MIDI track too. The guy in the instructional video said something about a Command 8... I've been investigating and it seems to be like mmmm some kind of interface between the controller and the computer, but i don't have something like that in my house, i just want to use the computer MIDI sounds and control them with my spd-11.
why should i do???

Dec 20, 2008 07:12 pm No, you don't need anything else externally. You simply need to get the midi track directed at BFD.
Are you using BFD in PT as a VSTi or as another type of pluggin?
Either way it is a a matter of getting the midi track's output assigned to the BFD track so it can recieve the midi data. Then make certain the BFD track has its output sent to the m-box mini and you should be good to get audio out of it.
There are not many of us here that use PT LE. Mostly for the reason's you are experiencing now. It is not a very easy to use application with midi at all. In fact they have just recently started doing the midi thing were everyone else has had integrated midi for about 10 years or so.
