all i record are vocals, nothing else
my behringer xenyx makes the vocals' production better than just using my maudio mobilpre
but do i need a mixer if all i record are vocals, and i dont use any inputs except for the mic?
can someone suggest a good audio interface for some bada** sound quality, because honestly the mobilpre by itself wasnt cutting it
at guitar center, i noticed a alesis mixer that connects via usb, is the preamp on that thing good?
one last thing:
shure ksm27 studio condenser, or akg perception 200/ or 400 condenser?

Aug 13, 2007 08:58 am no, if you only record vocals you need no mixer, there is nothing to "mix"...a single channel might be helpful...or even just a compressor. Maybe one of those vocal processing foot pedals or something...

Aug 13, 2007 09:44 am alight cool ill go check it out right now
do u have any say for any of the mics i mentioned?
Aug 13, 2007 09:45 am I have no decent opinions on microphones, there are people here that will have more reliable input than I ever would.
Aug 13, 2007 09:52 am i went and checked out that setup
so my mic will plug straight into it?
and u have exp. with it?

filling out your gear profile so people know what you already have helps...
Aug 15, 2007 07:26 am i already have a mobilpre, so my first priority is a new mic, since im using an mxl right now. Im an impatient person so ill probably end up getting a $200 mic tomorrow instead of waiting until payday and getting a nicer one. Oh well i can always take it back.
That art pro channel looks intersting though.
