Could anyone recommend any Wave or VST plug-ins that enhance vocal quality. Im looking for that crisp warm sound.

Aug 11, 2007 02:31 pm I don't think that any VST will give you those qualities on its own.
Crisp, clear vocals start with a crisp, clear singer. The microphone, preamp, acoustics of the room, and EQing of the backing tracks all make most of the difference.
As far as treating the vocal track itself, a little bit of compression, reverb, and maybe delay can make it a little more present in the mix.

Aug 13, 2007 07:01 pm This is what I use in the digital realm. www.pspaudioware.com/ Click on the Vintage Warmer 2 pluggin. It is a compressor/limiter type pluggin with a saturation capability. It can go from mild warm type sounds to over the top grinding and distorted. But it is probably one of the best. I prefer it for warming over even my Waves pluggins. The only thing I use that I find rates better is the VC64 from Cakewalk, although that is only bundled with Sonar 6 PE and not available seperately.
But as Tadpui stated it is also the mic, pre amp and room you use as well that give a good vocal quality to start with. Then it can be pumped up and set properly in the mix to stand out.
