Hey guys. I've recently finished a 7 track sleaze/stadium rock album/EP and would really appreciate some feedback from you guys. I've uploaded just the first track to my soundclick page and would love to hear what you guys think on composition, performance and recording quality if you don't mind.
I played, wrote, recorded and mixed/mastered everything myself, so comments on any part of the song is welcome and would be helpful. cheers

p.s. the tracks called "Maneater". Should be to the taste of those into ACDC, Thin Lizzy, Skid Row, WASP, Twisted Sister or anything in that vein.

Aug 10, 2007 08:38 pm Well I had time to listen to them, not all with a critical ear though. I will do that later.
Composition was pretty good on all these. Nice straight ahead rocker's all of em. I can hear the influences you mention for sure. The guitar tone was pretty tell tale for that era. All were well written, sounding pretty true again to the influences.
Performance, while some were really spot on there were spots now and then with vocals that sounded a bit strained to reach some of those notes and such. Nothing really bad though. All instrumentation sounded pretty tight from what I heard.
Recording quality, I won't touch on that right now as I wanna listen a little better before I comment on that. I will say though the overall levels of each tune varied from song to song. Some were a bit on the quiet side while others were just perfect and then others were over the top. That could be from mp3 conversion or just the final export stage of your recording application and not getting all the settings proper.
I'll pop back with more insight later.
