Jagger-Richards c. 1969.

Recorded in early 1980 in a barn with my friend Peter McIntosh on lead guitars (both electric and 12 string) as well as bass, I on 12 string rhythm, drums and vocals.

This was not formed to aurally recreate the experience but over the years it seems to me it sort of does.

This is raw rock, and this is possibly the most squashed, over processed, copied and noisy thing you have heard. It is a textbook example of how NOT to have a decent recording, yet I am fond of it anyway.

Yeah, I know the limiting was too hard on it, the drops are dangerous and I only recovered them to a degree. But then I was going for broke with this puppy.

I'll give it a listen tomorrow for sure. I love that tune and I'm sure you covered it well.

Nah, it works just fine. It sounds like an old recording done live in a funky little club back in the late 60's. I can almost smell the aroma of the club if I close my eyes. Its got a very trippy feel to it which is cool. The harmony parts work out pretty cool, especially near the end.

I gotta admit, that is one interesting take on the song for sure.

Heh, no, it was just your polite description that amused me.

Kind of like what Marty McFly's mother commented on his screaming guitar playing on Back To The Future ("um...that was...interesting...").

I appreciate your encouraging words, and I too can flashback (not all that far...) to the good old hazy days.

Ya, the sound of those tapes of yours brings back some pretty cool memories for me for sure.
