Anyone using Sonicbids?

We decided that we would take a bit of a chance and signed up for Sonicbids. We wanted to be able to shop our music to film/tv and this seemed like a decent way to try. At this time we don't have high expectations but its one of those things that if you don't try then for sure you won't get anywhere.

I'm also curious as to how to go about writing a decent bio. Anyone have any ideas?

We have already submitted 2 songs for consideration. I submitted "Best of Me" to a Warren Miller listing which I believe would be a good fit for their high adrenaline movies.

The second song we submitted was for a movie called "Babysitter Wanted". For this one I submitted "I Know She Understands"."

Here is the listing info for the Warren Miller film;
Quote:
Warren Miller movie - Warren Miller Entertainment is looking for adrenaline driven music as well as music beds that will motivate sport and weather sequences for ten new episodes that will air next Fall.

...and this is the one for "Babysitter Wanted"
Quote:
Song needed - Thoughtful, almost spiritual ballad similar to Sarah McLaughlin’s “Perfect Girl" - Tori Amos and Jewel are prototypical although the artist does not necessarily need to be a female. Coldplay, Dave Matthews and John Meyer are also in the same vain . The song should also give us some insight into Angie’s character. She is innocent and sheltered but highly intelligent and certainly has a strong spirit. The song will play as she travels to college and the film flashes back to show Angie’s mom praying for her. There is a great sense of freedom for Angie.

I'm curious about a couple of things.
1) Do you think that the submissions I made are appropriate for the films?
2) Have anyone landed anything using Sonicbids?

You can listen to the songs I submitted and see our electronic press kit here www.sonicbids.com/thelondonproject
