Well, after a hard-drinkin night (should NOT have had that last shot of Jagermeister!) with Geoff, the fetching Mrs. Geoff, Noize and his kid Tuna (Tuna didn't drink :-) I actually made it up to FreedomFest to catch the last hour or so off guitar_jim's Cutaways band. Great stuff, ended with a smokin version of Rockin in the Free World. The last 2 or 3 tunes my youngest could keep still she was up shakin and groovin...Good originals, a couple memorable covers, Greg Kihn's Breakup Song was a fun one, Ya Shook Me All Night Long was fun...

Good stuff. Ya rock Jim, it was a pleasure meeting you, we will be catching you again...wife kids and myself had a great time, fun festival for adults and kids...

Thanks, it was fun...having a cherry bomb (or a few) with you and hue (wherever he went) is still on my to-do list for life.

Good, glad to hear he is still around.

There are a few people I HAVE to meet before I meet my maker...flame, WYD, fortymile, Hero, Loki, tonyd, BH come to mind right away, but there are a few others...I figure I'll meet BoyzMum and C_S when I finally get up and move to NZ, which I would love to do someday...already met guitar_jim, zekthedeadcow, Geoff and coolo and it was great meeting all of them, wanna keep the party goin', ya know?

I"ll be moving to NZ before you get the dB. That is for sure, I've about had it with this place, especially after the last couple of days.

But hell ya, MI isn't that far away and neither is TN. I do need a little stroll down south eventually.

thanks dB i'm flattered and honored....i guarantee if i'm ever in the area i'll hit you up, and if you're ever out near me, i'll take care of you...(i would invite ya to my 3br batchelor pad, but i don't think it'd be good for the family) but i CAN scope out hotel's and what not and show you around....i'd totally be up for that....that goes for Noize too.

I'm finally home after celebratin' the 4th of July all day. What a day it was!

I can't tell you how cool it was that dB brought the wife and kids over for FreedomFest! It was awesome meeting him and the family. It's kind of surreal...here I am talking to a guy I've never met before, but at the same time I feel like I know him pretty well and that we have a lot to talk about. We didn't get to spend a lot of time talking, but it sure was cool!

Here's a pic of the band:

dB, I'm definately going to get up to the Twin Cities to buy you and Noize a beer or two. Thanks again for comin' over and makin' my day!

Did you pick up any fireworks on the way home?

Jim

Yes, we got a few fireworks and shot them from the neighbors driveway...then psycho couldn't call the cops on us. Had some good ones too!

Good show Jim, very fun, cool festival actually, we got a caricature of the girls...the artists doing them liked the Cutaways by the way.
