MIDI Pedal for Virtualizer Pro

Hey all, I'm hoping that you can help me out. I would like to be able to control my Virtualizer with a MIDI pedal. Behringer has an all out pedal board that is way overkill for me and they didn't appear to have any others on their website. All I want to do is be able to tab cycle through patches and a bypass switch.

Does anyone have a MIDI pedal to recommend that doesn't break the bank?

...or is it possible to control the Virtualizer with my Line 6 XT Live? That would be cool.

That does look like a pretty cool pedal. Phantom powered to boot.

Last night I did some digging into the POD XTL that I have and apparently it WILL work for connecting to the Virtualizer. That is cool cause I don't have to buy another piece of gear.... or should I say I can buy a different piece of gear :)

Now you'll need a graphing calculator, the latest edition of Mathmatica software, and a slide rule to figure out how to interface two such complicated devices :D

Good luck!

...and I'll have to learn how to tap dance as the virtualizer is going to be used for vocals.

I think the XTL is going to work quite well for this actually. I have read a bit about it and it looks like I should be able to assign whatever MIDI sends I want to it. I have all the banks loaded on a song by song basis. In theory I should be able to add the MIDI sends to the bank associated with guitar effects.

If anyone with an XTL happens to read this post let me know if you have tried to do this.

Thanks
