Another daft request for help.

hello again everyone.

right at my disposal i have a pair of NS10's and also a BK Electronices MXF 400 power amp, is there any way that these can be used together as a monitoring system, i really want to integrate the NS10's into my setup, any help would be apprieciated.

That amp is entirely too powerful for those speakers, but dial back the output volume it would work. That is a power amp tho, not a reference amp, the frequency range may not be as flas as a true reference amp.

samson makes some cheap reference amps, the servo line, i believe, and alesis has a few (which, btw, i think dB is selling one of atm).

The Alesis ones are nice, and they are basically a rip off of Samson (why does nobody sue Alesis?).

I think I am selling one, can't remember if it sold already or not...

Power amps like the ones you linked to are made for gig-level volumes, in a studio situation it's better to have a smaller amp more focused on even frequency responses and such.

Actually Alesis was making reference amps first. But they did copy the style of the Samson Servo series of reference amps. I used one for awhile way back when they first came out. Great budget amp for sure, and pretty flat and clean. I am replacing My Alesis RA 500 with a Crown XLS 402.
