Jun 25, 2007 12:24 pm whoa, there's a play link right in the thread. awesome. strings are a nice touch, but could maybe come up in the mix to help fill out the sonic space. nice song. I think the vocals are a bit louder than they should be (just a bit). Normally, I would say the overall sound could be fuller, but I know it's a hotel song, so with that in mind it's pretty good.
Jun 25, 2007 09:15 pm Everything Coolo said, I second. It's a great song! Well done!
It's good to know you're spending hotel time wisely, instead of watching porn-on-demand...

Jun 27, 2007 10:09 pm Ya coolo, aint it grand. dB has been working and adding stuff left and right. That one has been around about as long as the you tube links and such now.
I like watching it fill up with blue then it plays.
Anyway TD, nice tune again. I will have to listen a little better though before commenting. But I kind of agree on first listen that the strings could indeed take a little more room in the mix to fill it out as coolo stated.
And like jim said, stay away from the naughty channels.

Jun 28, 2007 01:30 pm Hey Tony, good to year from ya! Glad you're still kicking out the tunes even when on the road.
I like how this one builds...it starts off so quiet and gets louder and more intense as it goes. You could definitely turn up the strings a bit. The acoustic sounds great, definitely the best acoustic tone yet.
You know, I found a band just last week that made me immediately think of you Tony. They're called The National, and their album Boxer might be right up your alley. Its all very dark, slow, and deliberate music driven mainly by piano. The guy has a baritone voice that reminds me a lot of yours. I think you'd love it.
And for the record, I vote for killing two birds with one stone: record music while watching pay-per-view porn! Just keep the volume down, we dont need to know who's going to put what where from the bleed onto the vocal takes :D
