Where can I get free samples?

I need some samples that I can use for my recording lesson tonight. I'm not home or I would use some of the sample content from SonarXL. Is there a place on the net I can get some good samples so I can burn it on to a CD and take it to my lesson. I need to be able to import it into Sound Designer on a Mac. So I am guessing .wav's are good?

There are a few sites in our directory that have loops and samples...if you really want good ones for future use as well as this quicky thing, I recommend you look into the sound portal at www.powerfx.com/ , these guys are really great sponsors of our community, and they make great CD's of samples and loops, I use them all the time for background scores of short videos and stuff like that, their download portal lets you listen to a sample, and if youlike it you can pay and download online. They are totally professional and very high quality.

But, there are many good ones on the 'net for free as well, you just can't predict quality, you have to hope for the best :-)

You can also go to Keyboard Magazine's site, www.keyboardonline.com/ and they have link's to ton's of great site's, both free and pay. They also have a lot of stuff right on site.
