DBAmp, Noize4U, Anyone!.. I messed up good this time!!!!!

I Dled a soundcard driver that i thought would upgrade my current one (factory installed) but It was the wrong one and now i have no Sound whatsoever!!! I cant do anything right it seems!
How can I view to see what SoundCard driver I need, and better yet where can i get it!!
I am in a desperate situation now as i cant record and i need this working by tomorow as there are people coming over to record! PLEASE

IF you're running XP then go to System Restore and reset back to a previous point of time. Type it in help or find it somewhere under accessories.

Word to the wise, don't do driver updates the day before a scheduled gig...do that during downtime.

Glad ya got it sorted out. And indeed as dB stated. Never under any circumstance do an unsure driver update right before a client is coming.

You can in some cases do a driver rollback too, Just saves having to do a full restore if there is other stuff you dont want rolled back.

Ya, that is a good idea Bleak. If you go to the sound card properties page in the control panel and click the drivers tab it will allow you to roll back just the driver itself and leave the rest of the system alone.
