Audio interfaces.... HELP

I use a mixer with a Usb interface strait to the usb port on my computer.

Is that good or bad?

What is better?

First...welcome to HRC!

Are you able to record? How many channels do you want to record at once? Are you pleased with your recordings?

If it works, and you're happy with it, then it's good.

If it doesn't work or you're getting crappy recordings it might still be good, you'll just need to learn more about it.

There's some stuff that's better, but maybe not for you...

Because I bought a new mixer my recordings soung alot better. The mixer i have has 9 XLR inputs.

I the one with more channels for recording drums.
