Whats the story with Garageband.com, are they any good for band promotion?? Anything I need to lookout for?? I noticed they have alot of contractual agreements all over their site. Makes me wonder if I use their service, am I getting into something I don't even realise until it's too late.

May 15, 2007 09:52 am They suck, I'd stick with HRC to upload your tunes and promote yourself :-)
I don't know, actually, I just wanted to say that.
May 15, 2007 12:52 pm They aren't much different than any of the other services. I used to have some of my stuff on there. Never really saw much action or received much feedback.
dB's right...stick with HRC. People here give constructive feedback and positive strokes (but not in a sick way). My songs have had WAY more listens here than anywhere else.
May 15, 2007 01:36 pm GB.com takes work to get anything out of it. You're definitely not signing away any rights or anything. You need to review in order to upload and since most people are focused on upload the reviews are mostly weak. I do know a couple of people who have really worked it though and they recommend it. Problem is they rave about being #1 at GB.com which, sadly, really doesn't mean a whole lot.
