I am not sure how to do this because the last time i hooked my keyboard up to my mixer i think i blew out a speaker in the keyboard because now when i play the keyboard it sounds distorted. So i was wondering how i should hook up the keyboard into my computer?? And do u think hooking it up in the mixer messed up the speaker on the keyboard? because my friend hooked it up like that.

May 08, 2007 01:33 pm Can't say for sure on how your speaker got mangled as I am not familiar with what the keyboard is, and how the connection was made.
Does your software/soundcard take midi? I'd suggest hooking up via midi, and using VSTIs. There are a million free/shareware instruments out there. It will give you so much flexibility.

May 09, 2007 10:41 pm WE would really need to know exactly what was hooked to what in the speaker blowing issue. But on hooking it up to your PC, exactly what do you want to do? Use it as a controller or record the actual keyboards sounds?
