Well I know I've been critical of my company for quite some time now but today things are finally looking up. I took a job with a local rep for emerson doing control systems upgrades and let me tell you....... life is good. Now I will have plenty of time for all kinds of recording projects. Can't wait to get back to it.

Awesome, congrats on the new gig...I hope it works out, I just made a change myself a few weeks back and it was a great decision for me...hopefully yours proves to be the same.

Glad to hear that. Sounds like your confident in the choice. And by Emerson, do you mean Emerson as in Emerson, Fischer, Rosemount??? If so what division are you working under, and were at? The other half has worked for Rosemount, Fischer, Emerson for almost 20 years now.

I am working for A.E.Ehrke. They are a sales/engineering rep for Emerson process management. Basically they sell/engineer/build control systems. I am doing mostly the engineering and startup activities. Same Emerson but I'm not really working for them.

Process controls. Boiler level control, flow control, batch process control like at chemical plants.

My wife handles over seas accounts, mostly for flow and measurement. She started there in assembly when it was still just Rosemount Inc. Then through the Fischer Rosemount days and into Emerson Process now. I almost went to work for them in their engineering area but the salary at the time was pitiful.
