How can I use inputs 5-8 for recording my music from a direct line from a guitar or bass? When I try to record them, they don't even record a sound.. Also, is direct line recording recommended when my recording area is acoustically limited? (I can't use mics effectively)

Mar 08, 2007 08:01 am I don't know about setting up the 002,
but yes, direct recording has some benefits over mic recording. One of which, you can record in a crappy room. Plus, you don't have to have 50k$ worth of amps and effects pedals to get the sounds you want.
Lots of people do it here, and many do both, get a direct signal, and a mic'ed signal.
It's all really up to you, keep trying things.
