What makes Wave's pluggin's better then the ones that came with Sonar 5. I happen to like the Eq's and compressors/reverb plug-ins that came with it, but what would a WAve's bundle do better?

Mar 07, 2007 09:11 pm I think it's a case of more accurately representing the algorhythms of the gear they represent . A culmination of good research and design, I'd say .
While the plugins in Sonar 5 are nothing to scoff at, some of the ones WAVES offer have become somewhat of an industry standard, like the L1, or L2 limiters . I've only had minimal exposure to them, but there is deffinately a noticeable difference when using them in the master-track vs. some of the Sonitus plugs available in Sonar 5 .

Mar 08, 2007 05:17 pm I know I use the Waves Gold bundle for some things. But in Sonar 6 PE the new V64 Vintage Channel is absolutely killer.

Jun 11, 2007 11:34 am CptTripps has it right. It's all based on reputation.
The George Young L1 Limiter is just as good and it's free :)
Waves has the other advantage of coming in the bundle with a lot of other stuff they make you think you need.
