**Important Sonar5 question**

I have a recording session tommorow and I have a problem with Sonar5 that should be easy to answer. I am running a guitar through an audio track and I want to add live effect plug-ins like a compressor into the FX-bin of the track, however the effects don't work when I place them in. They only work when I enable the "input echo" button. However this adds a random echo to my signal in addition to my effects. I just want to be able to add effects and have them work normally.

What is the purpose of this "input echo" button anyway?

Thanks

Sorry for being so late here. I'm not sure why it is doing that. But as a rule I will usually add live effects via a buss. I simply set up a buss with the effect then you should use the effect send/return rather then assigning it in the FX bin and route the send/return through the buss with the effect on it.

You need to assign a send though so make sure you go to the mixer panel and then click to open the send section and then set it up that way. Sonar 5 defaults with a couple of busses already set up.

That is odd . Have you assigned an 'out' for the aux bus you're using ???
