Hi there.
I have a Yamaha DD-55 and would like to record drum tracks using MIDI. Just wondered if anyone could recommend the best sequencers for Windows that are either free or cheap :)
Also any tools that allow me to either assign samples to MIDI instruments or programs that create virtual MIDI ports so I can 'sample' up the tracks since I don't have any MIDI hardware (just in/out ports).
Any help much appreciated :)

Feb 27, 2007 08:52 pm Hey there, welcome to HRC. Sorry it took so long to get to this post.
If you go here, www.homerecordingconnecti...8&cat_id=18 there are tons of links to different places with a lot of freeware and just plain free stuff. Also go have a look at KVR www.kvraudio.com/ they as well have tons of free and cheap goodies to suite your every need.
For a host recording program I think Krystal Audio is a good program that supports audio and midi. I could be wrong on the midi though.
