i just got my alesis sr-16 and i need help with channeling the drum pads im using fruity loops 6 and nuendo

If you mean assigning them to a different sound you can only do that in FL itself as the pads on the SR-16 are hard coded to a certain note for the drum sounds in the unit itself. However you can assign each drum sound in Fruity to the note number of each pad on the SR-16 unit. I'm not really familiar with the innards of FL so I cant be of much help there. But I would assume it is like most other software drum synths were you have a trigger pad in the software itself that allows thing like assigning notes and such.

Open FL and what ever drum synth your going to use. Now each drum sound should have a note number assigned to it. You will need to change that note number to whatever number the pad is sending so it will see the midi note on message coming from the pad on the SR-16.
