Interesting enough. Not sure how that would sound though with just a log of electronics sitting in the middle and some piece of wood just lightly screwed to it. Nice chain bracelet the guy was draggin around on the body as well while he worked on it.

Very cool concept though if it sounds good I guess that would be cool.

Well they certainly aren't for everyone.... they are very expensive (about 3k). I can't tell you how they sound as I didn't hear one. I agree though, without a solid body mass you would think it would lose a lot of tone and character.

They sound okay.

Not wonderful. Not breathtaking. Not enough for me to buy one.

They'll have a numbe of high profile endorsements, and then sell a quarter of what they expected.

Didn't Burns or someone have a similar thing back in the eighties?

TallChap, I think you may be correct on Burns doing one similar to that not sure though as I don't recall seeing it in the Museum part of his site.. I remember there was another as well that did not fly at all. I believe most of that one became firewood in the end. Kind of like a few of the composite guitars out there, the only one worth its salt are the Parker guitars. It pays to do some research before you release something to the public on a whim.

Hujambo, I can't remember the maker of that guitar. But it was a kind of knock off of The custom guitar made for Bo Didley way back when.
