I need some music for a musical.

You know, something with strings and horns and synths. I could care less if it's 100% midi based. If any of you folks that have been doing this stuff for years and years have some unfinished work laying around I can probably make use of it. Also, if you have some instrumental stuff (acoustic guitars, metal, whatever) that went nowhere or you didn't end up using, I can probably use that too. Shoot, write a short ditty if you like without vox just to have something in it.

This is for a musical I and several others are doing, it's about a kid trying to make it in music in a small town in the sticks (alaska). We will probably use a fake town name though. A local friend/video studio owner is loaning his time and equipment (he has everything from 10k cameras to those cool track systems that the camera slides along) so I'm thinking the production quality will be fantastic.

We are writing the storyline and dialogue now but can't write lyrics to songs we don't have (I have some I'm working on). We aren't going to sell it as it's for fun and credit will be given where credit is due.

At this time we are shooting for 30-45 mins with about 2/3 being musical scores. So that's alot of songs needed. I've got some creative and crazy (i think those two co-exsist more often than not) people to help with the writing. We shall not fail!!!

OK!!! So!!!!!

Send to

[email protected]

Put HRC in the subject please as I get spammed alot.
Also, please include song name, tempo if available, and your name if you'd like it in the credits (aliases ok by me).

That would be awesome Hue, I put and e-mail up above on the first post.

And what do you mean Hydrial? The hardest part with a video is synching music to video. I agree that is hard, but not impossible if thought out and executed properly.

I've done it in movie maker before and was suprised how well it went. The most important part is having the singer/s know the song 100% exactly. I was doing a video myself, of myself, of a song I wrote so it was actually quite easy.

So once again, [email protected]

So I've got some local folks (studio/musician) piling files on me but I would love to use some stuff from the members of the HRC.

This Musical will happen, so please at least consider it. We have the story outline, the first 5-10 mins of dialogue written, and the lyrics for the first score (which I don't have music for yet).

I feel like I'm begging here :) This will be the last time I ask.

Wow, I listened to everything last night, you remind me of an evil psychadelic cowboy (that's a good thing). It was very good and made me want to sing over it in a serious tone vs. semi-comedy musical.

Evil psychodelic cowboy, eh ? There are some that wouldn't argue that, I guess .

Serious tone/somberness in comedy can be pretty potent stuff... especially with a 'whoa is me' thing, going on .
