Hi Everyone
Quick question i Cant find an answer to.
How many simutaneous inputs can i use on the UX2?
Say both line ins and the 2 xlrs all at once.
And will it work with any software?
Want to use more than 4 tracks of course.
Thanks in advance.

2 channels i believe, use either the xlr or the 1/4", but not both.

Should work with any normal software.

more than 4 tracks, you'll have to start looking into the 8 or 10 input stuff, Motu has some, maudio 1010, esi esp1010, i think maya has one too.

Thanks pjk
I guess i was hoping to do 4 tracks at once, but i finally found some more info.
Only two tracks at once.
Does anyone know if it is compatible with programs such as Kristal?
I mainly want a way into the computer and at least 8 mono tracks.
The software that comes with the UX2 only does 4 tracks.
I will eventually purchase a Delta 1010 or something similiar, but i want to get familiar with a program first.
The UX2 DOES look like it will be fun
Thanks again

I believe it has ASIO support yes? From what I know it is quite compatible.

Yes, the UX-2 will work with just about any software DAW. And ya, they are fun. I use mine now very often. While my other bigger interfaces sit back and sadly watch me play with glee.

Thanks again guys
I will be ordering the Line 6 UX2 today!!!!
This way i can leave my ancient Roland 840EX in the basement with the mixer hooked up to it full time, for recording drums and band jams.
The Line 6 will be great for actual composing/arranging right to the computer.
And if I am correct,
I could take tracks from the 840EX into the Line 6?
Say a stereo drum track? Or from the outs of my mixer?
I hope I am correct on this.
Thanks for your time and info

Give reaper a look : www.cockos.com

It's cheap (free to try a full version), and does tonnes, and is stable. comes with lotta plugins too.

You shouldn't have a problem doing a stereo line-in. There's a line-in left and right on the back. Should be good - to - go!

Yes, you are correct on that. You will simply use the line inputs on the UX-2. I do it all the time when I'm in a hurry and just want to fly a sample in for editing and such.

Well I have had the UX2 for a few days now...
I have played more guitar in the past few days than I have in the past few months!!!!
Best 200 bucks i have spent in a long time.
If you tweak the patches, switch pickups, try various guitars....
You will be amazed.
The Line 6 online forum is a treasure chest too.
You can download presets/patches from other line 6 users, if you see one with 3000 downloads assume its good.
With the exception of my Schecter guitars i wouldnt endorse any equipment...
But the UX2 is a must have in my opinion
A 10 outta 10

Nice indeed. I know I love using both my POD xt and my UX-2. I as well am a tweaker and spend hours tweaking patches to get just what I want out of it.
