This thing's pretty nifty... and free. I have been using it on a lot of my stuff recently... and I kinda feel like I'm giving away a huge secret but here. Take it.

Jan 18, 2007 03:08 pm Is this for midi based stuff? I'm kinda dumb on this "channel strip" thing. What does one do with a channel strip?
Ah heck, it's free, I'll install and see if there is anything I can use.
Jan 18, 2007 04:21 pm Haha, sorry man! I used it on my bass track and it's quite sweet :D Thanks for the tip!

Jan 18, 2007 04:37 pm cpt - it's for audio. Think of it like taking a single channel off a mixer and using it. It may or may not sound better than the default channel strip of your software, but heck it's free why not use it?

Jan 18, 2007 04:43 pm So basically, many different tools (comp, eq) crammed into one plugin yes?

Jan 18, 2007 06:53 pm I don't use much. PEQ, comp, some verb. I will definitely at least try it, twice....

Jan 18, 2007 10:43 pm Tripps, it is based off a channel strip on a higher end large format mixing desk. The desk's I learned on were all like that. Although now I set up my channels in Sonar 6 PE the same basic way. Really saves time and energy. But indeed it is a nice little pluggin to use.

Jan 18, 2007 11:23 pm yeah the look is a huge appeal to me, since i hate the streamlined sterile look of most apps mixers and stuff.
