Hey

Im new here. This is anoter question i have..i posted one earlier about Cubase and a plugin or bass.

Right Now i use FruityLoops Studio to write drum wav files that i later export and load into cubase.
Is there a better/more effecient program that i could look into that anyone knows of?
Like one that has programmed fills and beats in it already? But still has the option of completely making a beat from scratch?

Also a program has has the options of pads and multi instruments such as FL does?

Lastly if there is a better program..would i be able to export te individual files as wav into cubase?

Any type of help is appreciated, especially if you know of any that are free trial like FL.

i am using windows xp. not mac.

Thanks
Santa

Well, FL does have capabilities to work directly with Cubase, I was trying it out earlier today. Load FL up as a VST instrument and then you can put your stuff directly into there, and not have to bother with exporting, importing, and having multiple windows open/programs running.

Thanks for the response.

Im not exactly sure how to load FL as a VST instrument in cubase though.

Do i have to put FL in a certain steinberg folder in order for Cubase to recognize it.

Is it the same thing as a "re-wire"

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nope, it is a VST plugin. Just open the VST tool and point it to the folder that FL is installed in in your program directory and you will be able to open it up just like a regular VSTi.
