Has anyone had much luck with this? I have one I want to use with my laptop. The laptop see the unit, but when I select it as the primary audio device, I can not access any recording features at all.

When I bring up the "mixer" from the toolbar, there is no slider for line-in, and I can not click on Propertys and add it, it's not available from the list.

When I try to switch the "mixer" from playback to record, there are no sliders available at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HRC.

Try going here and download and install these drivers. I know it is supposed to be plug and play, but many times the devices simply will not do the plug and play option.

I just got a xenyx1832fx, i connected the uca200 rcs input to the sub out at the rear since my unit does not have the alt3/4. i had the uca200 rca out connected to the rca cd input of the mixer. i placed the microphone at channel 1 & 2. routed it to the sub(press sub) and increased the level of the main sub fader to about 7 or 8. I had the main level at about 7 & 8 with the trim at about7. I opened the sonar prod. edition and configured the input audio by clicking OPTION set at audio codec and my output set at soundblaster1.5 since this is my soundcard.opened a test project from sonar and talked through the mic & I got a signal from the meter. I adjusted it to an audible level and I also got a wave signal of my voice on track 1, hope this can help. regards to all!!

by the way, you also have to click OPTION and choose WDM from three choice since UCA200 is WDM.use an adapter from rca to a 1/4 unbalanced mono to connect at the subout at the back of the mixer.

for your regular playback of your cpu go to start open the sound and choose the soundcard you're using click on it, in my case, i clicked on the soundblaster 5.1, this is separate from the sequencer configuration setting where we are using uca200 soundcard w/c comes with the xenyx so you need not change setting everytime.
