Jan 03, 2007 10:57 pm I have learned that I need to use the Direct-X full duplex driver if I want to hear recorded material through my PC's speakers (I don't have monitors yet) but this triggers an engine error: (ASIO out of sync)when recording. Using the ASIO multimedia driver allows recording but no listening. However, Recorded sound in headphones or PC speakers is really low. I cannot figure how to push the signal any more. Additionally, when I record a second track the sound from it is barely audible when heard with first track despite trying all volume controls including the Cubase mixer. Any ideas, tricks to boost one signal in Cubase? Thanks. |

Jan 04, 2007 06:19 pm What are you using for a soundcard to get the audio into the PC and playback? That might be a major part of the problem there. ASIO should and is designed for full duplex use. Meaning it can record and playback at the same time. I wonder if you do not have the sound card set up in Cubase for playback. |
