My Pro Tools M-Powered LE Demo isn't working because it cannot find my M-Audio Delta 1010LT, it says it isn't connected or isn't turned on. But I get sound out of it perfectly, how do I fix this please.

I'm positive I have the latest drivers for the Delta 1010LT. But I'll check again, any other possible causes?

Not that I can think of off the top of my head... my advice would be check to make sure you've the latest drivers for the delta, maybe try setting it as the default recording and playback card for windows via the control panel, then a restart of the machine. hopefully one of those will help... if not i'm sure someone with more knowledge in this area will chime in.

If you have an IRQ conflict, the LE may not be "seeing" past that, and is unable to "verify", but the system (Windows) doesn't care, since it sees no problem with sharing IRQ assignments... Click "Start", "Run..." and type in "msinfo32" (without the quote marks, of course). Click on the plus sign (+) next to "Hardware Resources", then click on "IRQs" and see what that says...

It says that my sound card, and my nvidia graphics are sharing the same IRQ. How do I change this?

Maxwell, on my old box I have an Nvidea card as well as an older SB Live and my Delta 44 sharing IRQ 11 and I have no conflicts at all.

Which drivers do you have selected in the PT M-Powered LE audio options. I am thinking it is there that the problem lies.

If you don't see a conflict listed in the msinfo32 app then it is more then likely the drivers not being selected in the PT app.

How would I get to the M-Powered LE audio options? I can't open the program at all, when it boots up it says it can't find the m-audio hardware and stops booting up.

The PT software just stops booting completely? Have you looked to make sure the drivers are installed and working fine in windows?

One thought here, is the 1010lt an M-Powered unit? Not sure if that is a problem that could arise or not but it might be.

Everything is working fine, there seems to be no problems with sound card. And the protools demo came with the soundcard so I'm pretty sure it's m-powered.

I had a simular problem. I when M-power came out i wanted to check it out and see how it stacked up so i downloaded the demo ( i had an audiophile 24/96) . I couldn't get it to run because it wasn't seening the sound card. well the sound card was set up fine (i'd been using it for about 5 years) so i went to the drivers page and downloaded all the PT updates from start to finish . after that PT loaded fine.
Noize, PT will not boot or laod unless it detects a sound card it recignizes, it's cooky like that.

Yeah, thats the beauty of proprietary, totalitarian software.

Maxwel, go to www.m-audio.com and go to support, the drivers page will be there someplace.

Now it wont let me install the drivers. I'll double click the drivers and it'll only allow me to remove it. I know I dont have the latest drivers, there are 3 I need to install but it wont let me. How can i do this?

remove the current ones with the removing option, then reboot and you'll be able to install the new ones...

...in theory

IT may only allow you to install the newest version. Honestly I don't get the lunacy behind the M-Powered crap at all. But it is a completely differant monster then before.

I would try just installing the newest one first and see if that does the trick.

i installed the fist release to the latest becasue it said to do that. I think something along the lines of "if you don't have the previous version please download that first" . it's silly .

OK, I knew some of the newer creative stuff didi that but wasn't sure on the M-Audio. I know with my Delta 44 I can just install the newest rev and I'm good to go.
