We had a portion of north-Detroit flood a few years ago, and I was kind'a bummed that I didn't own a kayak at the time... would've been pretty novel to have kayaked 8 mile .
Oct 20, 2006 12:51 pm We went through one when I lived right on the river in Chaska years ago. The kids were tiny then, but enjoyed the playground full of water. It was a trailer park and the water never reached our trailer, just the street. But it did get in a few of the lower units. It was like 94 I think. The highest mark on the flood water sign coming over the river.
We moved 3 months later, I wasn't gonna take any chances.

Hue - It rained pretty bad a couple months before this flood, not like this though. Anyway, the bayou right nxt to me filled up pretty high, so me and two of my friends were bored and decided to walk round in the rain. We found a nice large matress near the bayou and through it in and I sailed on it for a while. The next three hours were spent with the three of us sailing on matresses and throwing random other things in the bayou like tires and dressers and sailing on those. Man that was a good time.
