I have my monitors connected to my delta 1010 Lt soundcard, and my mixer hooked up to the soundcard also, with my mic plugged into the mixer. But everytime i play some music on my program or even on the windows media player it makes this noise for a couple of minutes, when i stop playin the song and then i have to exit out and wait for it to stop makin the noise. Does any1 no why it makes that noise????????

What type of noise is it? Hiss? hum? static?

More than likely, if it is a hiss/hum sound, then it is because you may be using unbalanced cables to connect your monitors to your sound card. If you purchase balanced TRS cables to connect your monitors with, it will eliminate this sound.

If you don't think that is the problem then please specify a little more about the type of sound and if it occurs during playback or if you only notice it before or after playback etc.

It was like a static tickin noise it was like ti ti ti ti with static and it kept repeating. The cables i am using are RCA cables that input into the 7/8 inputs on the soundcard. But i just tried it now and it is working fine.

stuttering can be an interupt problem, or a driver issue.

i'm inclined to say that the computer can quite get the data out through some digital pathway in a smooth manner.

Give as much detail as you can, like has it done this before? does it do this with all programs? do you still have your old soundcard active? did it do it with your old soundcard? if you disabled the old sound card, did you remove the drivers (they could be conflicting). Do you have up to date drivers for the 1010lt?

Let's start with that, as something there could solve your problem.
