Hello Noize

I issued an open invitation should anyone and their family or band be headed down this way. We live in the South Island - which is pretty scenic in its own way. Arie tells me you are thinking of coming to NZ.

It would be nice to meet up with you Noize.

If we can offer any advice re travel, accommodation, sight seeing etc we'll be only too glad. We are happy to put you up if you are headed to Christchurch, where we have a house in the city and in South Westland on the West Coast where we farm.

Cheers,
Mary-Anne

Well, nice to see you popping by.

Yes, I have been trying to plan a trip down to see Arie and Michelle, and meeting you would be splendid. And of course several of the bands. Getting around the schedule at work has been a pain though lately. I was thinking of late November, early December if I can get my work schedule tuned. But we recently lost our main programer/eniginer to a motocross accident in which he broke several bits in his back. He is coming along nicely but it doesnt look as though he will be returning untill after January. And we have all been splitting up his work load. So it might be spring before I will be free for a trip that long.

I as well would definately look forward to meeting the HRC members from NZ. And indeed I would take you up on the advice as I would be completely lost. And I'm a lousy travel agent for myself. I'm one of those who will jsut drive untill something looks interesting. And I've been told there is a lot to see there. I would love to see the farm as well, and definately would put that on the agenda.

I appreciate the invet as well, and will be thinking about that alternative as plans unfold here.

I believe I still have your email and will definately keep you advised.

Thanx again,

Noize

It all sounds good Noize.

NZ isn't that big - about 270 000 km2. You can fly from one end to another in about, I guess, 3 1/2- 4hrs. And driving is pretty easy other than you'd be used to driving on the 'wrong' side of the road. :-)

We haven't got anything much to compare to Lake Superior or to The Mall of America or recorded history. But what there is, is not too bad and fairly relaxed. I quite like it, myself. :-)

Feel free to email then, if you've got any further thoughts.

Cheers,
MA

Sorry Noize. Can't seem to find it. I heard, not eating carbos makes you dumb. Well thats my excuse anyway. :-)

And my outlook express doesn't seem to be cooperating. I'm sure we'll catch up before you turn up in NZ.

Cheers,
MA

Indeed we will.

and yes the chatroom was having issues as well as not getting used to often. So untill a fix it is not a priority to do.
