help with midi controller in cubase

for my full equipment see profile.
basicly i have a new midi controller it works finein fruity loops 3 but there are some vst i want to play in cubase.
i can see it recognises in cubase when i hit a key by the lights on the portal control but there is no sound, it is not an audio prob as i can play vst with mouse.
please help

Havent used Cubase in years but the problem might be you havent assigned the midi control track to send the info to the VSTi in the audio track.

The VSTi should have its own audio track assigned with the instrument available there. You need to assign this tracks input to listen to the midi tracks output. As well you will need to assign the midi tracks output to send to the VSTi you choose. You can run several at once by the way, in seperate tracks of course.

I'm not sure if this is exact for the older versions of Cubase, but it should be.
